Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register?

Go to the Register page and fill out the information. You will receive an email shortly to confirm your account and to set your password. Once confirmed you can log into your account.

How do I schedule a class?

Select a tutor from your secure account. Then, choose the times that best suit you. Reserve weekly recurring classes online within your package plan or contact us to achieve your goals.

How many classes can I schedule weekly or daily?

Based on your subscription plan, you may book recurring classes in increments of 30-, 60- or 90-minute classes per week but no more than 90 minutes for any given session. For example, for a plan with a maximum of 120 weekly minutes, you may book a total of 4 weekly classes of 30 minutes each or 2 classes of 60 weekly minutes for any given week.

How do the live classes work?

Every class is live through Skype video chat or Zoom. You need to have a Skype account or download Zoom to use the program. Instructions are emailed to you. It’s important to remember to accept the teacher’s contact request in advance so he or she can call and begin the session.

How am I billed?

After you book a monthly plan, you receive an electronic invoice for the first monthly subscription. Invoices may be paid online by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express via Stripe. Initial payment must be received before you have your first class. Each month, thereafter, you will be automatically charged for your subscription.

What does it mean to have qualified teachers?

WeSpeaki teachers are either certified or bring years of experience as well as a passion for teaching English to each lesson plan. WeSpeaki tutors will evaluate each student’s needs and make a long-term goal, which starts at the trial session.

What do I need to get started?

You will need a reliable computer with internet connection and a Skype or Zoom account. We also recommend a webcam, a microphone, and a stylus but are not necessary. We prefer Zoom for its interactive capabilities and whiteboard, but some students and teachers prefer Skype.

The available hours are in which time zone?

Live classes are currently available from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm European Madrid time.

What level of English do I need to begin?

WeSpeaki is designed for every language learner from those who only know “Hello” (A1 level) all the way to those looking to enhance their fluency and conversational skills (C2 level). Take this free test to see what level comprehension you are.

Can underage students register?

Yes, but it must be done with adult supervision during the registration process. The minimum recommended age for our program is thirteen (13) years old.

Do I have access to my progress?

Aside from the Prep Exam subscription, you won’t have access to your student progress although after every class the teacher is able to send you notes of the lesson. This must be requested prior to the lesson. Your Prep Exam teacher has access to and tracks your progress. This process helps teachers pin-point areas of improvement for you to focus on. At the end of the program, your teacher can give you a summary progress report for an additional charge. We encourage you to stay with one tutor for the academic semester or school year especially for the Prep Exam subscription.

How long does the program take?

To give you an idea, completing 9 monthly subscriptions of 180 weekly minutes equals one full academic year of intense language learning. Companies usually choose the 120-minute or 180-minute weekly group or individual plans and break them into two 60-minute or two 90-minute weekly classes for 9 months, which is comparable to one school year at a traditional language school starting from October to June. Individual students usually choose the 60-minute or 90-minute weekly group or individual plans for 9 months or one academic school year.
